A Day of Love
valentine's day surprise!!!!
the bouquet came with the bear
closer look at the bear - which we decided to name it "love" ("...cos it was bought with LOVE..."muahahaha! o... com'on, u don't see much mushy stuff around this blog, give me the luxury to boast about my being in love once a yr can?)
this is probably one of the happiest valentine's day in my life! on 13 feb i was running some errands in town and passed by bugis junction, the crowd was all crazy doing last min v-day shopping, yes, indeed the happiest people were those who owned flower and gift stalls. had to go home in the evening, saw many OLs carrying bouquets of flowers on the mrt, but i just told myself, forget it, i won't expect paul to give mi any surprise, after all, i was expecting surprises for the last 2 yrs and there were none at all... it's our 3rd anniv this yr...
much to my surprise i came home at 6pm to discover this giant bouquet of flowers sitting on my sofa!! he got them delivered to my house... surprise surprise! it's the first time i received a bouquet of my favorite casablanca lilies. it's not common in singapore, not many people know it, but i love it! and for the record, this bouquet is much bigger than bouquets i saw others carry on the street *smug sneer... muahahahaha* i will take another pic of it when the flowers open. he's usually not so sweet, which is why i was so shocked when i saw the flowers, at first look i had actually tot my mum brought the bouquet from her floral arrangement teacher, which was highly unlikely - but that was exactly how unexpected it was!! it was only until my maid told me a man sent this to our hse (after which i saw the delivery order) did i realise it was for me. ok... enough of the shallow bimbotic rave over my flowers... that was my happy 13 feb.
14 feb - cg had outreach at orchard road. we made many balloon sculptures - over 200 and gave them away with tracts tied up with a maroon n silver ribbon, people are so much more receptive on valentine's day, or mayb it's the balloons? don't know, they're more open to receiving free gifts, and will smile at u and not give u a suspicious look.
I seriously have no idea how people view my relationship, it had started as one not many approve of, we did rush into it. but GOD was with us. not so long ago, a friend commented he did not see me n paul together much. i wonder what to think of that? we lead pretty different lives. separate ministry, different frens, but hey we have our sweet moments. ere's one of them la... i guess we're not really comfy with PDA (public display of affection) mayb that's why people find it hard to associate us as a couple sometimes? hahaha o well...
i am starting to find it tough to lead cg... u won't believe how much time i spend just thinking about cg, the members, the direction, programs bla bla bla.... it's a great challenge... and i always remind myself we wrestle not against flesh and blood. god will make a way when there seems to be no way...
